The Perseid Meteor Showers are going through our area tonight and tomorrow night; it's raining tonight so visibility is nil, but maybe tomorrow night may be better. That brought this question to my mind: Have you ever seen meteor showers? If so, what did you think when you saw them??
Let's play a game! Each word must have exactly four letters, using three letters of the previous word, in the order they appeared in that word. (For instance, "stay" could become "slay" or "slam" or "spay" etc.) No word may be used more than once. Each player may play only one word and must wait to play another until someone else has played a word. The beginning word is: PRAY
I had an email today with a salsa recipe in it. Do you like salsa and other spicy foods? If so, do you like mild spicy, medium spicy, or burn the mouth right off your face spicy??
Do you agree or disagree with the following quote: "I would rather lose in a cause that will some day win, than win in a cause that will some day lose!" ~Woodrow Wilson, 28th president of the U.S.
Have you ever had, what others might consider to be, an unusual pet or pets? If so, what was it/them, how did you get it/them and how were they as pets??
When you think back to an occasion where everything was perfect, or nearly so, the food, the company, the surroundings, etc., what was that occasion, that food and the surroundings?
Do you know what the original name of Memorial Day was and why was it changed? (Did you already know the answer or did you have to research it to answer this question??)
Would you say you are pretty much the same all the time or do you think you act differently around different groups of people depending upon how they act?
Well, it's that time of year again, and I've heard about a lot of illnesses going around – colds, flu and such. So how are you and yours doing? Are you all feeling fit and fine?? Have you already had the passing colds and flu, or were you blessed and did they skip you and yours???
What would you say you primarily do online? Send emails, Facebook, visit forums, visit news sites, do online shopping, play games or do puzzles, Twitter, work or something else. If something else, what would that be??
When you were younger, what was your favorite character token to use while playing the board game Monopoly? The race car, the battleship, the shoe, the iron, the dog or the top hat?
I won't even ask about the hollow things, because they're totally disgusting - but when you were a child did you generally like solid chocolate Easter treats best, or ones filled with crème, nuts and such? Do you still??
In the news recently, I've heard some restaurants are asking families with unruly children to leave; and I saw today where some malls have now posted signs saying something similar. What do you think about this? Do you think it's the right thing to do??
If not, what do you think should be requested of parents who let their children greatly misbehave in business establishments???
Did you arrive at your current spiritual beliefs as a child, as a teen, or older? Have your basic beliefs changed over the years, or remained about the same??
Something I received got me to thinking about this. What's the greatest compliment you've ever received in your whole life? (You may want to just think about this instead of sharing about it; whatever makes you comfortable, but please do give it some thought.)
Did you watch the game today? If you did, did you cheer for a specific team or were you just there for the food?? If for a specific team, which one??? If for the food, what was served????
Read an email today that sent up some interesting questions. You're in a restaurant that charges an automatic gratuity on all parties over six. You are a part of a large party, but disagree with being charged the automatic gratuity. What do you do? Do you go elsewhere when you notice there's an automatic gratuity?? Do you complain to your waiter/waitress??? Do you withhold a tip or a portion of the waiter/waitress' tip to compensate for the gratuity???? Or do you ask to speak to a manager?????
IMAGINE: You are now 90 years old, sitting on a rocking chair on your outside porch; you can feel the spring breeze gently brushing against your face; you are content, happy and pleased with the life you’ve lived. Looking back at your life, at all that you’ve achieved and acquired, and at all the relationships you’ve developed, what matters to you most now?
