In order of time spent cooking with me was Maternal Grandmother, then Father, then Mother, then Paternal Grandmother. Maternal Grandmother was Hungarian, and I learned a lot of Hungarian and Central European dishes from her. Our Father and Mother cooked mostly American or Italian food, although Father didn't like garlic, so all was without it. Paternal Grandmother cooked a mixture of American food and a lot of pot meals like stews and chilis that could feed a small army.
