Yes, I remember it well. It was May 3, 1969, and I was on a plane from Cleveland, OH to Charleston, SC to board a bus from Charleston to Beaufort, SC, where I was going to USMC Bootcamp. I wasn't scared of the plane ride, but I had great concerns about bootcamp. Who wouldn't!?! LOL
