What were the highs and lows of your day, today?

No low parts; I do have pain in my left hip, but I'm thankful for that because it takes my attention off the pain in my back. LOL

One funny thing happened! An elderly lady and gentleman came up to my register with a fresh turkey. They proceeded to checkout, THEN asked if they turkey they bought was the one that was on sale. I told them it was not - that it was the frozen one that was on sale. She said she wanted the one on sale, so I voided the fresh one while the gentleman went back to pick out a frozen one. We waited, my line grew! Finally the gentleman shows up with a fine frozen turkey - with no price tag on it. So I called the front end manager who took it to the back to get a price tag put on it. We waited, my line grew! Everyone was being patient, but the elderly lady began to fret at holding everyone up. I reassured her that everyone was being patient, so it was ok. So back comes the manager with the turkey with the price tag on it, and the price tag won't scan. (LOL) We waited, my line grew! So he tries, and tries, and tries, and finally hand keys the thing in, but then we notice it doesn't deduct for the sale price because he hand keyed it. At this point, a higher level manager shows up and tries to fix it. No good! We waited, my line grew! Finally, the acting store manager spied everyone standing around in circles, came over to see what was going on, and somehow (I don't know how) got the whole thing fixed. The lady started to fret several times throughout feeling bad for the people lining up behind her. I kept calming her, and when we got everything settled, she apologized to everyone behind her in the line, and I told her, "Everything's ok. Don't you worry about a thing, now promise me you aren't worried." Finally, I got a smile out of her and thanked her for her purchase, wishing them a great night.

The thing that blessed me most was how patient those people behind her in line were. This whole episode took a LONGGG time. God's blessings upon them all.

How about you?

With love.

God bless.
