Would you like to share about a cooking disaster you had???
Many have said that I'm a good cook - BBQ, French food, Hungarian food, Italian food, Mexican/Spanish food, and both northern and southern American food with a little oriental food thrown in, but sure - I've had disasters. The one that is most common to me is toasting bread under the broiler, like for garlic bread or baking quick breads like Brown N'Serve rolls, Crescent Rolls, etc., in the oven. I easily forget them, and one roommate I had decades ago use to call them Crispy Critters. That got a laugh out of me, and we've called them that ever since.
