Our mom died in 1979, so Mother's Day is a bit bittersweet for us. One can lose a child, and have another child. One can lose a spouse, and have another spouse. But when one loses a Mom or Dad, that's a wound that eases, but never really mends, because one can never have another Mom or Dad, so if you've lost one of yours, understand the sum and substance of that wound, and work at remembering the good times for those were the sweetest times of all.
Still, we had a very good day, and I pray you all did too.
