RB'S QUESTION OF THE DAY: September 29, 2011: The Bible tells us to “be still and know”. Psalms 46:10 Would you say that you take the time to “be still” often? Do you understand that it takes doing that to come to “know” what God wants you to know?? How aware would you say you are of others, of situations, of yourself??? Do you think taking more time to “be still and know” might help to improve that awareness that is within you???

I will readily admit, I sadly don't take the time to "be still and know" often, but one thing I am blessed about is that when I do, it doesn't take me near as much time to get close to Him as it once did.
I know that it's important for me to do that, to be still, be quiet, just hush and listen to what He, through His still small voice, inspires within me.
I am actually keenly aware of what's going on around me, and I've often stepped into the middle of things just to calm things down or to clarify things - sometimes even when it's not wanted. ;o)
But like everything else in my life, all these things can be improved with the love and help and light of God. And I believe improving myself is a start on making the world a better place.

What do you think?

God bless.
