I was at home from work ill. I turned the computer at about 8:30am, and everything was going well, it seemed. Then I saw a news alert on Yahoo about the first plane crashing in to WTC#1 and turned on the tv to follow the live news on it.

Peter Jennings was on, and they were talking about it being a private plane. Then they got news it was a passenger plane, and they were trying to verify that when the second plane flew into WTC#2.

At that point, I knew there was trouble. I got back online and got to The Spirit Prayers Group and asked for prayer. Ken was online at the time, there were few others. But within minutes, many many of the prayer warriors were online, and we all joined in prayer.

I was feeling anxiety and trepidation, horror actually at what was transpiring on OUR soil where we always thought WE were safe. Realization came quickly that we were safe HERE no longer, and that changes would have to be made in our country and our lives to make it safer.

And the sorrow, I must not forget to mention the sorrow, for I believe the US lost its innocence that day, and since then, I believe many of us have become suspicious of some who live here, sometimes rightly, but oftentimes not.

I don't know if we'll ever lose that suspicion, but I do know we must never forget 9/11/2001.

How about you?

With love.

God bless.
