It was very very cliquey at our school, and if you weren't part of the in-crowd, you were pretty much ignored like you were bad news or dirt.
I wasn't part of a clique, and didn't mind being ignored because I thought they were all a bunch of snobs, and I thought who'd want to be friends with them anyway except another snob.
