I'd like to honor our father who served as a US Marine in WWII, and our nephew who is currently serving as a US Marine.
I'd like to honor a classmate, John Yeast, who was killed by enemy fire serving in Vietnam, and the son of a friend, Jackie Niederiter, who died in Vietnam after throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of the rest of his platoon.
And I'd like to honor all those who have ever had the calling and the courage to stand in the gap between freedom and oppression, risking and even losing their lives so that others could be free.
