We always had to get dressed first because once the festivities were on, it was harder to get kids to leave the festivities to get dressed, brush teeth, etc.
Because there were six of us AND we had chickens that laid plenty of eggs, there were always many many colored eggs to find. One year, one of the eggs got missing and wasn't found until July. From that time on, mother made herself a little list of where she'd hid them.
When we got older, mom hid our entire basket and gave us treasure maps to find them. The rule was though, if you ran across someone else's and told them where it was, you lost your own, so no one did that more than once.
Then we went to church, and at 2-3pm, we had a huge dinner, usually with a ham and all the fixings.
