Angier, NC is a very small town of about 2,500 people. The town planners carefully kept its main street a block to two away from the main highway so the buildings would remain "Main Street USA" if traffic necessitated road widening; the widening would occur on the main highway, not our main street.

The town has old store fronts which are occupied now by restaurants, beauty shops, thrift stores and antique stores, along with the general town offices, real estate and insurance offices, etc.

A railway once ran right through the center of the town. The tracks have been removed and a park has been inserted where they once ran with the old train station as its main centerpiece which is the headquarters of the town's Chamber of Commerce. This park also holds the huge town Christmas tree, and the huge gazebo which is used for musical events throughout the year, is beautiful decorated with dripping icicle lights.

The town is beautifully decorated right now with huge light sculptures of snowflakes, Christmas trees, bells and candy canes which hang from each lamp post throughout the town.

The Christmas parade was held the Saturday after Thanksgiving which is when all the lights were lit up for the first time this year. It was beautiful!!!

I love living here!!! The town itself is very "walkable," and one can walk through the town viewing all the Christmas decorations in the houses they pass.

How about you?

With love.

God bless.
