If it measures up to what God wants us to have, yes, then we will receive it. I think this might be talking more about your negative or positive mindset. If one is positive he will look at a pastoral setting and see the flowers and not notice manure.
I hate it when one brings trivial annoyances to my attention, a barking dog, loud distasteful music, a meal that doesn't taste just right. I did not even notice it until you brought it to my attention. I was enjoying the moment until the negative comment colored or poisoned my mind.

I know exactly what you mean, and will sometimes even tell someone that I didn't notice until they mentioned it. ;o)
